A project for the construction of a solar photovoltaic plant on the terms of a public-private partnership has been launched in the Bukin district of the Tashkent region, where the state partner is JSC National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan, and the private partner is China Datang Overseas Investment (the Investor of the project).

Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-190 dated 05/24/2024, the investor will build a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 263 MW in the Bukin district, as well as overhead power transmission lines on 621 hectares of land. The cost of the project is $150 million in direct investments.

In preparation for the construction of this solar power plant, Rhythm Plus conducted a comprehensive environmental impact assessment, including an environmental impact assessment, in accordance with the legislation of Uzbekistan and an international ESIA (Environmental and Social Impact Assessment) study based on the International Finance Corporation (IFC Performance Standards) standard. At the same time, Rhythm Plus specialists have prepared reports detailing the key environmental and social aspects of the region, where each step was aimed at a deep understanding of the environmental situation in order to ensure minimal environmental impact during and after construction. The prepared environmental reports have been successfully verified by the State Center for Environmental Expertise. In addition, the ESIA international report opens up additional opportunities to attract investments from international financial organizations, providing the project with sustainable financial support and accelerating its implementation.

Also, Rhythm Plus specialists held public hearings for the public in order to inform about construction plans and provide detailed information in the format of interactive presentations, demonstrating openness and willingness to dialogue.
