On the basis of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 05/18/2022 No.PP-249 “On measures to expand the network of highways with cement concrete coating”, as well as the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 12/27/2022. No.PKM-723 “On the procedure for attracting funds from international financial institutions to expand the network of highways with cement concrete coating”, the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Government) appealed to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) regarding the use of the amount of savings under loan No. 4174-UZB for the construction of rural roads with cement concrete coating in Surkhandarya region (Project). The total length of the reconstructed rural roads is 52.94 km.

As a result of the implementation of the proposed project, only 18 sections with a total length of 52.94 km of rural roads in five districts of Surkhandarya region will be transferred and reconstructed to cement concrete pavement.
