About project
The 1500 MW Wind + 300 MW BESS project is a greenfield Independent Power Project IPP that is developed by ACWA Power in the Republic of Uzbekistan. JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan shall act as the sole off-taker for the project under a 25-year PPA.
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
Engineer consultant Agreement for Kungrad WPP Project, with 1500MW installed capacity and 300MW BESS. Services of Rhythm Plus were limited to review and red-flag check of project documentation prepared by the Engineering Consultant for the compliance with local regulations and standards:
PHASE 1 – STUDY OF PROJECT CONDITIONS AND CONCEPT-LEVEL DESIGN:
- Study of input data (Project conditions, local regulations, RFP requirements,etc.).
- Optimization criteria & Suggestions.
- Concept-Level Design (incl. alternative design concepts, with pros and cons).
- BESS Concept-Level Design (Design Optimization in terms of LCOE).
PHASE 2 – BASIC (HIGH-LEVEL) ENGINEERING + BOQ:
- Calculations & Design Basis.
- Civil Engineering Package.
- Mechanical Engineering Package (WTG).
- Electrical Engineering Package (Wind Farm).
- Evacuation Infrastructures (Substations + OHL).
- BESS Engineering Package.
- SCADA, Security and Communications Engineering Package.
