This objective will address the rehabilitation of the existing 13 centers, construction of 2 new centers and provision of modern medical equipment to 15 oncology centers at different locations in Uzbekistan.

The scope of the project includes:

1. Civil works, including new construction of oncology centers in Navoi and Jizzak provinces and reconstruction and upgrade of the rest oncology centers;
2. Procurement of diagnostic and treatment equipment, including delivery, installation, final commissioning, and training on usage;
3. Training on radiology and related fields of medical and technical personnel, trainers and physicists.Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
   1. Development of the technical specification for the purchased equipment ensuring its “neutrality”, i.e. no attachment to any particular equipment model.
   2. Assisting the Client in conducting all stages of the bidding process, starting with the preparation of the announcement for the bid, ending with the award of the contract with the preparation of the draft contracts in accordance with the procedures of IsDB. According to the results of the tender held in 2015-2016, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment was purchased and installed (linear accelerators, devices for remote and contact gamma therapy, computer tomographs, ultrasound scanners, X-ray machines, etc.).;
   3. Monitoring the implementation of contracts for the supply of equipment, including technical supervision of the preparation of premises for the installation of equipment, monitoring of timely delivery, payments to suppliers and supervision of installation of equipment;

   Preparation and submission of regular project progress reports to the Client.
