About project
French renewable energy company Voltalia has entered into a public-private partnership (PPP) agreement with the Uzbekistan government to construct a 100 MW solar power plant in the Khorezm region. The plant will be situated on a vast area of 182.99 hectares in the Tuprokkala district of Khorezm.
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
Independent Engineer Agreement for Khorezm PV Project, with 100MW to be located at Khorezm region.
Pre-Construction Phase:
- ESIA, ESMS and RLRAP completion review in connection with the Project required under the international standards envisaged in the PPA and the Laws of Uzbekistan;
- ESIA and ESMS Requirements Confirmation in form and substance satisfaction, as well as associated mitigation plans;
- Confirmation that all applicable portions of the livelihood restoration and resettlement measures in the RLRAP have been implemented in a manner consistent with E&S Law and the International E&S Standards by the both partners accordingly, including execution of payments and compensations to the affected people.
Construction Phase:
- Environmental and Social Management Review and Field Monitoring during Construction (quarterly)
Operation Phase:
- Environmental and Social Management Review and Field Monitoring during Operation (semi-annual)
- End of First Year Review
