Modern Medical Equipment Project. KFAED Financing No. 917.
The project is intended to equipping of three clinics of the Tashkent Medical Academy, clinics of State Medical Institutes of Andijan and Samarkand, Republican Clinical Hospital №1 and №2 with modern medical equipment.
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
Within project framework, the consultancy services include the following phases:
Phase 1 – Needs assessment for equipment and training; planning of procurement. Preparation of the detailed technical specification and bidding documents.
Phase 2 – International Competitive Bidding and evaluation. Contract awards.
Phase 3 – Contracts Administration and Project completion.
- Development of the technical specification for the purchased equipment ensuring its “neutrality”, i.e. no attachment to any particular equipment model.
- Assisting the Client in conducting all stages of the bidding process, starting with the preparation of the announcement for the bid, ending with the award of the contract with the preparation of the draft contracts in accordance with the procedures of KFAED;
- Monitoring the implementation of contracts for the supply of equipment, including technical supervision of the preparation of premises for the installation of equipment, monitoring of timely delivery, payments to suppliers and supervision of installation of equipment;
- Preparation and submission of regular project progress reports to the Client.
