This includes:

• Detailed technical and financial feasibility of projects to increase the capacity of the UFK-1 and UFK-2 HPPs, as well as all the necessary elements for the preparation of the project;
• Detailed technical and financial feasibility of the project for the construction of the new Paytok HPP, as well as all necessary elements for the preparation of the project;
• Limited environmental and social studies of the impact of the projects of the Charvak, UFK-1A, UFK-2A and Paytok HPPs;

Preparation of a report with recommendations regarding the terms of reference for assisting in the monitoring of procurement and implementation of work on the SFC-1A, SFC-2A and Paytok projects.

Description of actual services provided in the assignment:

Site Visits and Data Collection: Topographic, hydrological and geotechnical data, seismic hazard data, documents for existing power plants (plans, electromechanical equipment after rehabilitation), as well as environmental and social data.

Technical and financial research: Equipment and production capabilities, preliminary diagnostics of existing power plants, design expansion sketches, cost estimates, financial analysis, planning and terms of work, the need for additional research.

Limited environmental and social impact studies of projects: Identification of environmental and social issues (including health and safety) and mapping of each site. Identification of negative environmental and social impacts (including health and safety issues) of the project, at the construction stage and at the operational stage. Identification of environmental and social measures to avoid, reduce or compensate for negative consequences. Human resources for environmental and social supervision during construction.

Recommendations on the terms of reference for assistance in project management: Preparation of a report with recommendations regarding the terms of reference for assisting in the monitoring of procurement and work.

Topographic and bathymetric surveys: This assignment includes performing geotechnical and topographic surveys for each of the 3 hydroelectric power stations.

Additional survey analysis: Creation of a geotechnical model based on the results of surveys carried out in accordance with the program established in the feasibility study.

Pre-design studies: Design and stability calculations of structures, hydraulic dimensions. Determination of electromechanical equipment, control panel and connection to the station. Phasing work. Preliminary design. Schedules of implementation. Updating performance research as well as financial research.
