About project
Assistance is provided to the Client for implementation of the Northwest Region Power Transmission Line Project, according to the requirements of ADB.
The Project will strengthen energy security through improved power system reliability and efficiency by constructing a new domestic transmission line without passing through any other country. The new line will evacuate power from Takhiatash Thermal Power Plant (TPP).
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
- Assistance to the Client for general project management;
- Preparation and submission of a Project Inception Report;
- Organizing of monthly progress meetings by the Project Manager;
- Review, audit and acceptance/approval of the detailed designs (drawings and design documents) provided by the contractors of the different project components;
- Supervision of the works of the contractors for construction of the project facilities and provide guidance to the contractors to conform to the specifications;
- Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plan (LARP);
- Assist in developing and implementation of a construction quality assurance program;
- Inspect equipment and materials deliveries to ensure compliance with specification;
- Monitor implementation progress and identify any expected delays and reasons for such delays, and propose measures to resolve potential negative impact on project implementation from the delays;
Witness commissioning, guarantee and acceptance tests, and assist to the Client in taking over the completed facilities and etc.
