The Project will strengthen energy security through improved power system reliability and efficiency by constructing a new domestic transmission line without passing through any other country. The new line will evacuate power from Takhiatash Thermal Power Plant (TPP).

Description of actual services provided in the assignment:

1. Assistance to the Client for general project management;
2. Preparation and submission of a Project Inception Report;
3. Organizing of monthly progress meetings by the Project Manager;
4. Review, audit and acceptance/approval of the detailed designs (drawings and design documents) provided by the contractors of the different project components;
5. Supervision of the works of the contractors for construction of the project facilities and provide guidance to the contractors to conform to the specifications;
6. Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plan (LARP);
7. Assist in developing and implementation of a construction quality assurance program;
8. Inspect equipment and materials deliveries to ensure compliance with specification;
9. Monitor implementation progress and identify any expected delays and reasons for such delays, and propose measures to resolve potential negative impact on project implementation from the delays;

Witness commissioning, guarantee and acceptance tests, and assist to the Client in taking over the completed facilities and etc.
